Favorite Games That More People Should Play

I thought I’d do a bit of a survey look at games today, sampling a bunch that I go back to again and again but have trouble finding people who are up for them. They are incredible games and tons of fun but for some reason they don’t get the love I think they deserve. Consider this my effort to remedy that!

Spire Review, Part 2

So, like I said last timeSpire is a great RPG that’s been out for a while (since the beginning of this year) but it’s new to me and I’ve fallen pretty quickly. I went over the awesome character options in my previous post but that’s only half the awesomeness awaiting you in Spire.

Ten Things to Know About Geist: The Sin-Eaters

Welcome back to another addition to the series on the Chronicles of Darkness. After laying out seven items for the new World of Darkness I’ve gone through many different gamelines, as listed at the bottom of that article. The last thing I wrote about were the mummies of Mummy: The Curse who were deathless sorcerers from the dawn of time. Today we’re going to be looking at another set of people from beyond death, though these ones are a little closer to home. Just simple dead people trying to make the best of their situation.

Spire Review, Part 1

I’m behind the times here but after hearing about Spire on Character Creation Cast and checking it out, I fell in love enough to get behind the recent Kickstarter. More and more I can’t believe how long this amazing game flew under my radar and so I thought I’d write a belated review in case anyone else out there missed it!

Interview with Misha Bushyager of New Agenda Publishing

Today we’re going to be talking about the upcoming game Orun, currently up on Kickstarter! Misha Bushyager of New Agenda Publishing was kind enough to answer a few of my questions but let me cut to the chase: you should go and back this Kickstarter. I did and then I listened to the episodes on She’s a Super Geek and was glad I did so. Then I read this interview and I was doubly-glad I did so. It’s great and I recommend you check it out!

Collected Options for STA

Today I’m sharing that a lot of people have asked about, here and at Continuing Mission: a comprehensive list of all the options for Star Trek Adventures. Specifically, with all the spaceframes and species in the official books and on Continuing Mission, where can they find them all listed? Well, you can find them here. I’ve made a master spreadsheet with the basic stats of all spaceframes and species to date, with their source for easy looking up. Share with your players and GM to make building your crew and galaxy a little easier. You can search for specific terms and also download a copy if you want to change how things are sorted. Enjoy!

Revolutionaries Review: Book 2

Today we’re going to be talking about the new game Revolutionaries from Make Believe Games. It’s a game of secrets and spies during the American Revolution, not a made-up revolutionary world of horrors like Colonial Gothic or a crazy steampunk version like Sons of Liberty. This is pure historical fiction where you play out the Americans’ spy network and try to win an unwinnable war.

Ophelia Calame-Harris

Today we’re rounding out the band of City of Mist characters that I’ve outlined previously. So far there’s been Alexis Liddel, Anna Rose, and Heather Dunbroch, all of them inspired by various female characters from Disney films. Today is no exception since Ophelia is very much inspired by her Disney counterpart but, I think you’ll agree, with a pretty different take on things.
