Last week I looked at the Science Divisions Supplement for Star Trek Adventures, the last of the three division supplements to round out your characters. I was focusing on the player-facing parts of the book in my last review. Now, let’s see what the campaign-facing side of the book holds!

Journey to Ragnarok Review, Part 2
I’m returning to Journey to Ragnarok to take a look at the campaign arc and setting. Last time, I looked at what player options were in the book and concluded that there was a fair spread. Now I’m looking at whether the campaign holds up and whether you can use this as a full campaign setting independent of the adventure series.

Folks. It’s here. The Science Division Supplement is here. This is the one, everyone. I had fairly modest expectations of the Command Division Supplement and was pleasantly surprised by the result. On the other hand, I was really hoping for something great out of the Operations Division Supplement and it fell a little short of my expectations. The Science Division Supplement is that rare gem among RPG: something you feel excited about but that turns out to be even better than expected!

I’ve been excited by the possibilities in the prospects of Spaceships & Starwyrms for a while. As a matter of fact, I’ve written repeatedly about sci-fi adaptations of D&D and about Esper Genesis in detail. So when I got the chance to examine a copy of the latest addition to this category, I eagerly opened it up. It’s a setting of technology and magic, busy planets and empty space, and… well, spaceships and starwyrms.
Journey to Ragnarok Review, Part 1
I’ve been eyeing Journey to Ragnarok by Mana Project Studio for some time. With all the games on my shelves already waiting for more time and an ongoing and firmly-established Adventures in Middle-earth campaign underway I just couldn’t justify it. The reviews and reaction, though, have kept this product firmly in my mind and I recently used up some of my earned credit to purchase it. Let’s see what’s inside!
Coriolis Character Generation
With the recent release of the awesome Emissary Lost campaign, I’ve been focusing once again on the Coriolis: The Third Horizon sci-fi game from Fria Ligan. I never actually got around to writing a review of the game so I’m setting out today to write a review… of sorts. Usually I go through every section to let you know what’s in the book but instead I’m going to go through the process of character creation to let you know why you might be interested and then review the awesome parts of the setting in a future post to hopefully set the hook. Bottom line, I think this is an awesome game that you should definitely check out.
Review of Pasión de las Pasiones
Today I’m taking a look at a Powered by the Apocalypse game Pasión de las Pasiones by the amazing storyteller Brandon Leon-Gambetta. As the principle GM for the Protean City podcast you can be sure that Leon-Gambetta knows both awesome stories and PbtA so I have high hopes for this game. The fact that its designed to tell stories like telenovelas just seals the deal.
The Crew: Tea Party Investigators
I’m back with more for my City of Mist campaign skeleton! Having described Alexis, Anna, Heather, and Ophelia (as well as a villain for good measure) I’m here to take the next step and and make a Crew playbook for these gals. I really love social mechanics like this so let’s see how it goes!
