I’m back today with another batch of historical settings for the Chronicles of Darkness. Expanding on the other Dark Eras of the game, I started last time to look at the new settings for the Dark Eras 2 book. We are making our way through the medieval Mediterranean this time so grab your saddlebags and lets head to Africa and beyond!Continue reading “Dark Eras 2: Part 2”
Mummy: The Curse is currently Kickstarting a second edition and I’m really excited about it. One of the best parts of this new version is the inclusion of mortal sorcerers and Immortals baked into the game itself. These seem like a natural extension of the core game experience and it reminded me of the Mummy campaign that I ran for which I created a ton of background info to pull in gamelines from across the World of Darkness. Today I’m bringing you the first of those creations!Continue reading “Mummy & Vampire: The Asekh-sen”
Today I’m here to talk about the new sourcebook for Mage: the Awakening 2e: Signs of Sorcery. There’s a lot packed into this book so I’ll be splitting it into two sections, first the character options and then the cosmological stuff. Let’s start on this journey!Continue reading “Signs of Sorcery, Part 1”
I’m back today with another Ten Things to Know about the Chronicles of Darkness. If you check out that original post you’ll find a list of all the previous additions to this list, including the seven points shared by all the Chronicles of Darkness gamelines. There aren’t too many of these left but today welcome to my look at Beast: the Primordial.Continue reading “Ten Things to Know About Beast: the Primordial”
I’m back today with another entry in the series of Ten Things To Know About the Chronicle of Darkness. I’ve gone through nearly all of the gamelines so far and today I’m going to be tackling one of the remaining ones: Demon: The Descent. This game came out hot on the heels of the Chronicles of Darkness changeover and incorporated a lot of material from the God-Machine Chronicle. It’s a fascinating and labyrinthine game with some fun surprises, so let’s check it out!
Welcome back to another addition to the series on the Chronicles of Darkness. After laying out seven items for the new World of Darkness I’ve gone through many different gamelines, as listed at the bottom of that article. The last thing I wrote about were the mummies of Mummy: The Curse who were deathless sorcerers from the dawn of time. Today we’re going to be looking at another set of people from beyond death, though these ones are a little closer to home. Just simple dead people trying to make the best of their situation.
Today we’re continuing with our series on the various gamelines of the Chronicles of Darkness. The next line to cover is one of my favorites that I think doesn’t get enough attention. It’s a globe-spanning story of immortals trapped in repeating cycles, cut off from their past lives by untold centuries, and struggling against cosmic power while wielding the might of gods. This is more than just linen-wrapped corpses in Egyptian pyramids, my friends. This is Mummy: The Curse.
We’re back on our tour of the World of Darkness, this time looking at Promethean: the Created. Previously we looked at commonalities in all the different Chronicles of Darkness games, then took a specific look at vampires, werewolves, mages, and changelings. Now it’s time for the Created.
We’re back with another “Ten Things” about a Chronicles of Darkness game, this time for Changeling: the Lost. This is currently in the process of getting a Second Edition but I don’t think it’ll change things much. Like the “Ten Things” posts for Vampire, Werewolf, and Mage this is more of a “general themes” list than anything. It builds off the original list of seven items, with specifics for Changeling below!
Continuing with our series on Ten Things to Know about various settings in the Chronicles of Darkness, in this post we’re going to take a look at Mage: The Awakening. This gameline is steeped in lore like all the rest but also
