A short and sweet post for a short and sweet PDF! I’ve heard a lot of people ask if there are Danger profiles for classic City of Mist characters and it’s hardly surprising. With such gorgeous, award-winning character folios you just want these characters in every story you tell. So I converted them!

:Otherscape Kickstarter Launch!
Two posts in one day? You saw that right. Today just happens to be the launch day for Toyko:Otherscape, the next iteration of the City of Mist set in a cyberpunk setting of colliding myth, technology, and humanity. Although the first setting book is focused on Tokyo, the game itself can (and will!) be set in cities across the world so you can still create your own setting with all your own amazing stories.
It’s a really amazing game, not least because one of the authors is yours truly! I’m truly honored and hyped to be a part of this great team and if you want to be part of the group getting this game off the ground then consider joining the Kickstarter. If you join today you can get in on the Day 1 perks!

Coming from Son of Oak – Tokyo:Otherworld and Local Legends
Hello, folks! Here’s a short Thursday update to spread the word about two upcoming products from Son of Oak, Tokyo:Otherworld and Local Legends. These are two expansions to the City of Mist game and Tokyo:Otherworld is actually a brand cyberpunk setting and game! Keep scrolling down to the Local Legends announcement, though, and you’ll see that yours truly is listed as one of the contributors. I’m really excited about this and look forward to being able to show off the book to all of you farther down the road.
Crafted Skies on City of Mist Garage
Bonus post! I wanted to include this in yesterday’s post but it wasn’t done processing yet. Tony Pi and I have been working on a lot of different City of Mist products for Son of Oak’s Garage Community Content program and the latest one is very different.

I’m here today with a review of a fantastic City of Mist supplement: Shadows & Showdowns. This was originally released back in May but I had a busy summer and anyways it’s only just started shipping as a physical book. So, better late than never, let me tell you about this fantastic book.

I hope I haven’t made a secret how much I love the City of Mist game. It’s really great, an excellent mesh of crunch and freeform mechanics, plus you get to do things like send a hardbitten detective with a staff made of Christmas up against a punk rock Gretel and her gingerbread zombies. True story.
I have a bonus Thursday post today to make sure everyone who’s interested checks out the City of Mist Bundle of Holding absolutely everything you’d need to get started (core books, starter characters, intro case, location maps) for under $20. That’s almost 25% of the normal price for these things. If you pay a little more you can get three more cases, three plot-hook-filled district sourcebooks, expanded character options, and an awesome soundtrack for just under $32. That’s about 30% of what all of this would normally cost. And on top of all that, ten percent of the money from this goes to pandemic relief funds and I don’t know about you but I’m beyond ready for relief from this pandemic.
Check it out if you’re interested and check back here next week for more City of Mist content!
City of Mist Garage
This is a bonus update this week to let you know that Son of Oak has launched a community content program called the City of Mist Garage! I’ve been excited about it for a while, especially because myself and Tony Pi have been working on a great new case that’s already up in the Garage.

I’m here today with some insider industry knowledge… That’s blogging industry, not the gaming industry or anything. While I’ve been writing Star Trek Adventures material on Continuing Mission for a while, I’ve also got plenty of ideas about City of Mist and I’m publishing them with the inestimable Tony Pi on our new City of Dangers blog.

Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day and I figured the best way to celebrate is to make some Irish-themed Dangers for out City of Mist games! I already wrote a bunch of player characters from the Fianna but let’s look at this from the MC’s perspective now.
