In Invisible Sun, the arabest are a mysterious people who lived in the vicinity of Satyrine years ago. Very little is written about the arabest in the rulebooks (though more is hinted in secrets known to a few) so I thought it would be fun to write a little. And while I’m writing a story for the arabest, why not write four?

Drinks in Invisible Sun

The surreal setting of Invisible Sun is full of amazing and strange details but one of the best ways to highlight the surreal is to juxtapose it with the mundane. In between jumping across worlds and sealing angels into bracelets, why not have your vislae stop off at a bar for a (mostly) normal drink?

Faces of Satyrine: Wayne Reynolds

It’s time for another edition of Faces of Satyrine! The first time I did this, I looked to the work of Tony DiTerlizzi whose Planescape work made it not much of a stretch to get to Satyrine. Today I’m looking at another fantasy illustrator whose work is instantly recognizable: Wayne Reynolds.

Zilats of Satyrine

I love the idea in Invisible Sun of zilats. There are vislae, like the player characters, and there are nons who can’t use a single spell. But there are also zilats who can do one particular kind of magic and nothing else. In my campaign I like the PCs to be special so I limit the number of other vislae they interact with. Most of the NPCs they encounter are zilats and it can be really fun to come up with their magical specialties.
