Klingon Empire Core Rulebook Review, Part 1

So last week, Modiphius surprised the Star Trek Adventures community with a brand new core rulebook! Periodically gaming companies will release new core books with mechanical tweaks and the same fluff or a little extra. This is the opposite, though: mechanically identical but designed to be played with Klingon crews!

Command Division Supplement Review

Like Starfleet, the characters of Star Trek Adventures are divided into three major divisions: command, operations, and science. To support character development in the game, Modiphius has three supplement books planned, one for each division, and the first one is out now! Like the four quadrant books that are planned (you can read a review of the first one here) there is a lot of setting material and game inspirations in these books. The Quadrant books, however, are full of NPCs and plot hooks while the supplement books are full of new Talents, rules expansions, and crew templates. Star Trek: Adventures

About a year ago, I started thinking about a new Star Trek RPG. First I made my own version (based on the Cypher System) but I’ve since taken that down. I still really want to play in the Star Trek universe, however, and I’m hoping for an RPG whose design is a little more recent than the Decipher version which is why I’m eagerly watching the updates of the new Star Trek: Adventures RPG from Modiphius.
